The Origin Story (No Lore)

Like most origin stories, SwimStrong began with a singular mission: to use resistance training and technique to help injured athletes get back in the game.

Little did we know, this would extend to athletes who wanted to recover from injury and those who were limited by their workout routine options to find our doors.

We had student-athletes who had been injured every season of every year, not realizing that there was more they could do to get healthy: they could still work out while they were benched!

Helping Athletes Get Back On Their Feet

Among the injured athletes who wanted to heal, some wanted to stay conditioned while out of commission. We found that these kids often wanted to switch sports after their recovery journey.

Some athletes wanted to switch sports entirely, returning to contact sports after healing to swimming. We embraced them, which is why we offer our services as a traditional swim clinic for healthy athletes! 

Whether influenced by parents or tired of doctor’s visits, athletes began choosing a swim program after completing an aqua PT regimen. We wanted to be here to help these athletes through every step of their sports career, even though the reason they come to our doors isn’t always positive.

With a brand new facility and a willing team of professionals, SwimStrong launched its latest program in Cambridge, MA. It continues to help student-athletes who want to learn about resistance training and begin their recovery journey.
